Our Story

Our Story

At Crafttree Creation, we are more than a brand—we are keepers of India’s heritage.
Every product you see here—whether a bag, a file folder, or a painting—is a bridge between centuries-old traditions and today’s lifestyle needs.

We work hand-in-hand with local artisans to create eco-friendly, handcrafted, and customizable products that celebrate art, preserve culture, and empower communities.

Our Art Forms

India’s folk and tribal arts are not just designs; they are stories of life, rituals, and beliefs passed down generations. At Crafttree, we bring them into modern products so they don’t fade away.

  • Madhubani Art (Bihar): Intricate motifs inspired by mythology and nature, once painted on mud walls, now alive on bags and folders.
  • Sohrai & Kohvar (Jharkhand): Vibrant murals once used to celebrate harvests and marriages, reimagined on everyday essentials.
  • Jadopatia (Dumka, Jharkhand): Scroll paintings telling stories of life, death, and myth—magic captured in modern formats.
  • Warli (Maharashtra): Minimalist tribal art symbolising harmony with nature, now adorning utility products.
  • Dhokra (Metal Craft, Chhattisgarh/West Bengal): A 4,000-year-old lost-wax casting technique, known from the Dancing Girl of Mohenjo-daro, preserved through our mementoes and décor.

Each piece you own is not just art—it is a living tradition.

Our Artisans

Behind every Crafttree product are the hands and hearts of India’s rural artisans.

  • We currently work with 500+ artisans across Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and beyond.
  • Each artisan is trained in a traditional craft that has been passed down for generations.
  • Your purchase ensures they earn fair wages, sustainable livelihoods, and dignity for their skills.

For many of our artisans, Crafttree is not just work—it’s a chance to see their heritage valued by the world.

The Process

Every product we create is unique, slow-made, and personal. Unlike mass production, no two Crafttree items are identical.

  • Sketch & Storytelling: The artisan begins by sketching motifs inspired by myth, festivals, or nature.
  • Hand Painting & Crafting: Natural colours, traditional brushes, and steady hands bring the designs to life.
  • Eco-Friendly Materials: Jute, cloth, and natural fibres are shaped into durable, modern products.
  • Final Creation: A bag, a folder, or an artwork—each one-of-a-kind, carrying its artisan’s signature style.

This process ensures authenticity, sustainability, and uniqueness—you don’t just buy a product, you buy a story with soul.
